Courtney Kalashian is a zealous advocate who gets results. She describes herself as an energy efficiency enthusiast and promotes pragmatic solutions to ensure rural spaces and marginalized populations are not left behind in the clean energy transition. She is driven by the belief that all people deserve access to more efficient, more reliable, and more affordable energy. Mrs. Kalashian joined the San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy Organization in 2008 and formally took the role of Executive Director in 2012. She has helmed the Organization as it grew from a regional, donation based non-profit to a statewide entity providing technical assistance and policy support to rural public agencies, and looks towards a future as a clean energy media network creating original content across digital channels to push for an equitable, just, and achievable clean energy future. She is a coalition builder, an experienced public speaker, and proudly, boldly rural.
